2 September 2025 — The IMT-GT Joint Business Council (JBC) Meeting in Trang underscored stronger collaboration among businesses from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand to boost trade, investment, supply chain resilience, and sustainable growth across the subregion.
Key highlights of the discussion included the RoRo Dumai–Melaka ongoing initiative, Malaysia’s Green City Action Plan (GCAP) project status, and Thailand’s IMT-GT Connect initiatives.
New initiatives such as IMT-GT Tourism Connect, Smart Rubber Innovators Platform for Talent, and the IMT-GT Regional Excellence Award were also introduced, reflecting the subregion’s commitment to innovation, talent development and recognition of excellence in driving inclusive and sustainable growth.
